It is located in a building that dates back in part to the 13th century, although most of the preserved elements are from an old leather factory (tannery) from the late 18th century. They have restored the old Estella Mint, a former leather tanning factory built in the late 18th century on the waters of the dam, an essential element, along with sumac, for the artisanal tanning of prized leathers.
