Pilgrims appreciate the onsite brasserie that lets you relax over dinner without heading out again, and the option of private rooms is a welcomed luxury after long days of walking. The central location means cafés, shops and the old town are right at your doorstep.

On the flip side, the small size and specialised nature mean it can fill up quickly; arriving early or booking ahead is wise. Also, as it’s a historic house in an old town street, mobility access may be tricky for heavy luggage or full mobility requirements. Overall, if you want a friendly, well-located stop with a bit more comfort than the most basic albergues, Zuharpeta is a solid choice to rest well before beginning your Camino journey in earnest.
