Pilgrim Insight
Albergue Las Peñas is one of the most highly rated small albergues on the Camino Francés. Many pilgrims praise Félix for his personal welcome, local stories, and thoughtful touches. In particular, arriving walkers often remember the fresh cold watermelon offered after a hot stage into Nájera.
Furthermore, the relaxed common room atmosphere and early breakfast from 06:30 make it a popular choice for pilgrims preparing for the next stage toward Azofra.
Note: with only 12 beds, advance booking is strongly recommended. Additionally, the albergue is located at the exit of town, so pilgrims should continue past Nájera’s old centre while following the Camino route.
