Overview

Albergue El Escamplero is a classic public refuge situated on a hill in the rural municipality of Las Regueras, directly along the Camino Primitivo. It serves as a crucial first-stage stop after leaving Oviedo with simple dormitory accommodation surrounded by rolling Asturian hills.

Pilgrim Insight

The albergue features comfortable bunk beds, warm showers, shared dining facilities, and beautiful mountain views. Located next to a local bar-restaurant, it offers an easy opportunity to enjoy a hearty Asturian meal.

The keys are collected at Fernando’s El Tendejón Restaurant (closes on Wednesdays), about 300 meters before the hostel.
