Pilgrim Insight
Albergue El Congreso brings a welcoming and well-organised energy to the end of a tough coastal stage. The staff go out of their way for arriving pilgrims. Moreover, laundry, breakfast preparation, and onward planning assistance all come as standard.
Beyond the albergue, Villaviciosa marks the key junction between the Camino del Norte and the Camino Primitivo. Therefore, it is worth researching your onward route before you arrive. Note: beds fill quickly in summer — booking ahead is strongly recommended.
