Overview
Albergue Casa Mariela in Torres del Río offers dormitory accommodation for pilgrims with a credential on the Camino Francés. Opened in 2009 and under new management since 2023, it is located in the centre of the village on the Camino route. The albergue has 45 beds in shared dormitory rooms. Facilities include a bar-restaurant with pilgrim menu, a mini-market, laundry, bike storage, and free Wi-Fi. In summer, access to the municipal pool (15 May–15 September) is included. It is open from 17 March to 16 October.
It is set beside the 12th-century Templar church of the Holy Sepulchre. Therefore, Logroño and the Rioja wine region are just 17 km ahead on the Camino Francés.

Albergue Casa Mariela is a practical stop in one of the most historic villages on the Camino Francés. In addition, the early-opening mini-market is especially useful for pilgrims starting before dawn. Moreover, host Gustavo is often praised for his helpful and friendly service.
