Overview
Albergue Villamayor de Monjardín offers dormitory and private room accommodation for pilgrims on the Camino Francés. It is located directly on the Camino route on Calle Mayor at the entrance to the village. This small albergue has 20 beds, plus private rooms. Facilities include a kitchen, laundry, breakfast, communal dinner, and free Wi-Fi. Host Javier Bacaicoa runs the albergue. It is open from 1 March to 31 October.
The albergue sits in a beneath the ruins of Castillo de San Esteban. Therefore, it is a scenic stop between Estella and Los Arcos on Stage 6 of the Camino Francés. In addition, pilgrims should carry enough water for the exposed 11.7 km stretch to Los Arcos.

Albergue Villamayor de Monjardín is a good option for pilgrims wanting a shorter Stage 6. Moreover, the village offers beautiful vineyard views, castle ruins, and the Romanesque church of San Andrés. A small village shop also provides basic supplies for the next stage.
Note: the albergue opens at 12:00, so early arrivals may need to wait. Also, another pilgrim albergue, Oasis Trails, is located 50 metres uphill and offers an alternative stay in the village.
