Overview

Albergue El Cantero in Mañeru offers dorms and private rooms for pilgrims on the Camino Francés. It is set in a restored 17th-century palace on Calle Esperanza, directly on the Camino route. The albergue has 26 dorm beds, plus private double and single rooms with bathrooms. Facilities include a bar-restaurant, communal dinners, kitchen, wine cellar, garden patio, and bike storage. Disposable sheets are also provided. Hosts Roberto and Mariola are former volunteer hospitaleros. The albergue is open from 1 April to 1 November.

It is located between Puente la Reina and Cirauqui on Stage 5 of the Camino Francés. Therefore, Mañeru offers a quieter stop away from the busier Camino towns nearby.
