Albergue de Peregrinos La Oveja Negra in Barzana is a private donativo albergue offering dormitory accommodation exclusively for pilgrims on the Camino del Norte. It opened in 2024 in a beautifully restored traditional Asturian stone house and sits in the hamlet of Barzana close to the official Camino route.
Sergio runs the albergue with exceptional warmth, offering communal dinners, breakfast and aundry. It is deally located between Sebrayo and Villaviciosa and is accessible in Spanish, Italian, and English.

La Oveja Negra has built an outstanding reputation after opening in 2024. Pilgrim consistently describe Sergio’s hospitality as exceptional going above and beyond to make every guest feel at home. The restored stone house and garden setting bring a beauty and calm that perfectly suits the spirit of the Camino de Santiago.
A pilgrim credential is required and advance booking is strongly recommended as there are only 14 beds. The albergue opens from 15 April to 15 October and a donativo contribution is warmly welcomed.
